About The Position

Learn And Play Montessori Schools is seeking a Lead Teacher for its Irvington location. The school aims to build a connected community of thriving schools where people are at the center of the organization. Teachers provide a warm, patient, and understanding classroom environment focused on helping children learn, play, and grow. The Montessori + STEM™ curriculum promotes children’s social, physical, verbal, and cognitive development and supports lifelong learning. The role emphasizes meaningful relationships with children, families, and colleagues, and adapting curriculum delivery to each child’s needs.

Requirements

• 12 core ECE units and completion of an infant/toddler course.
• Child Care Developmental Associate (CDA) Credential.
• Willingness to change diapers.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized.
• Ability to work within regular operating hours.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can learn and play.
• Partner with parents to provide high-quality care and education for their children.
• Partner with center staff and leadership to achieve goals related to enrollment, accreditation, growth, and engagement.
• Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts, and corporate partners.
• Implement the Learn And Play Montessori School Montessori + STEM™ curriculum in a way that meets each child’s unique needs.
