About The Position

Scribbles Center for Learning in Bloomington is hiring a Lead Teacher for its Young Preschool classroom. The Lead Teacher leads the classroom in a manner consistent with the center’s philosophy and goals, supports children’s development, maintains a clean and safe environment, and builds professional relationships with families. The role is full-time, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Compensation is $18–$18.50 per hour, based on education and experience. Requirements

Meet Lead Teacher qualification requirements: hold a CDA or have at least 6 ECE college-level credits.
Be able to pass all background checks.
Have the physical ability to perform the listed duties, including lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

Lead the classroom in all aspects in a manner consistent with the center’s philosophy and goals.
Implement activities that encourage each child’s emotional, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development.
Accept direction, constructive criticism, and feedback, and make improvements or changes as needed to improve program quality.
Create and maintain a clean and safe environment for children.
Establish professional rapport with each family to provide quality care for children.
Work physically around small children, including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs; lift and carry up to 40 pounds and fulfill the role’s physical requirements.
