About The Position

The Learning Experience is hiring an experienced Lead Preschool Teacher to lead a fun, nurturing, and engaging classroom where young children can learn, grow, and thrive. The teacher will use the proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum® and provided classroom resources, with support from a collaborative center team, to focus on teaching and building meaningful relationships with children and families. This is a full-time position in Kings Park, New York, scheduled Monday through Friday. The role involves active supervision of young children and participation in classroom and outdoor activities. Requirements

Meet applicable New York State requirements for a lead teacher.
Previous experience in a preschool, childcare, daycare, or early childhood classroom.
Early Childhood Education or Child Development degree, CDA, credential, or relevant coursework or experience consistent with New York requirements.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Passion for helping young children learn and develop.
Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
Meet applicable background screening, health, and training requirements.

Responsibilities

Lead a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom.
Deliver the L.E.A.P. Curriculum® through hands-on lessons and activities.
Support children's social-emotional, language, cognitive, and physical development.
Create a positive classroom environment where every child feels welcomed and supported.
Observe children's development and communicate progress with families.
Maintain classroom routines, learning materials, and required documentation.
Partner with fellow teachers and center leadership to create an exceptional family experience.
Follow New York childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements.
