Lead Teacher
About The Position
The Lead Teacher works at a HAPPY Early Childhood Academic childcare center serving children from infancy through preschool. The role supports joyful, engaging early education through age-appropriate learning activities and a safe, organized classroom environment. Teachers help children learn, play, and grow while supporting their development and building relationships with families and colleagues. The center’s curriculum focuses on six ages and stages of early childhood development, using hands-on activities that encourage children to explore and solve problems at their own pace. The franchise is independently owned and operated; applications and hiring decisions are handled by the franchisee.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- At least 18 years of age.
- At least 2 years of experience as a lead teacher within a childcare center.
- Ability to meet state and local childcare licensing requirements.
Nice To Haves
- Associate degree or higher in early childhood education (ECE) or a related field.
Responsibilities
- Execute engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans and activities.
- Maintain classrooms that meet TLE standards for cleanliness, safety, and organization.
- Monitor children’s growth and development by understanding key milestones and celebrating progress.
- Build relationships with families and share daily updates and cheerful moments through the center’s mobile app.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers to create a supportive and happy learning environment.
