About The Position
As a Lead Teacher at BrightPath Kids, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in the care program, following NAEYC guidelines. The role serves children ages 6 weeks to 12 years in one assigned classroom and includes ensuring their safety and supervision, developing appropriate curriculum and activities, maintaining a safe and welcoming classroom, and communicating and partnering with families.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field required.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain organized.
- Ability to work within regular operating hours.
- Must meet state criteria for child care employment.
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience in a licensed child care facility preferred.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks to 12 years in one assigned classroom.
- Create developmentally appropriate curriculum according to NAEYC standards.
- Develop programs and activities based on children’s interests and learning styles.
- Maintain a warm, safe, and clean environment where children can grow and explore.
- Partner with families to create plans for their children’s care and education.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child.
