About The Position

The Lead Teacher is responsible for overall classroom management and for leading a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for infants, toddlers, and preschool children. The role implements The Learning Experience’s proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum® in a way that meets each child’s unique needs, supporting children’s development and encouraging a love of learning. Lead Teachers serve as role models and help develop other teachers through coaching, mentoring, modeling behaviors, and providing feedback. They communicate with parents about children’s experiences and achievements, help the center meet enrollment and engagement goals, and ensure each child’s safety and security. The position pays $20.00–$23.00 per hour and is full-time.

Requirements

At least six months of professional teaching experience.
An associate degree or higher in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or a related field, or a CDA.
Must meet state-specific guidelines for the role.

Nice To Haves

One year of professional teaching experience preferred.
CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and mentor less experienced teachers; model behaviors and provide feedback.

Communicate regularly with parents about their children’s adventures and achievements through avenues such as mobile apps and personal discussions.
Partner with center staff and leadership to support goals around enrollment and engagement.
Ensure the safety and security of each child.
Manage the classroom and lead an engaging learning environment for infants, toddlers, and preschool children.
