About The Position

The Lead Teacher at Tutor Time of Pittsburgh creates interactive learning experiences and mentors fellow Teachers. The role promotes the social, physical, and intellectual growth of preschool children while leading classroom management and curriculum implementation. The Lead Teacher is expected to know and follow licensing guidelines and company standards, and to build relationships with enrolled and prospective families to support children’s achievement and the center’s success. The position requires meeting state education requirements and center requirements, and engaging with children indoors and outdoors, including physical activity.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old.
• Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans.
• Ability to meet state education requirements and childcare center requirements.
• Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.

Responsibilities

• Create fun, interactive learning experiences.
• Mentor fellow Teachers.
