About The Position

BrightPath Kids is hiring a full-time Lead Teacher at its South Elgin, Illinois campus. The Lead Teacher works alongside teachers and families to provide children with a home-away-from-home experience in accordance with NAEYC guidelines. The role is responsible for one assigned classroom serving children ages 6 weeks through 12 years. The teacher creates developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities, maintains a clean and safe learning environment, and partners with families to support children’s care and education.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized.
• Ability to work within regular operating hours.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience in a licensed child care facility is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks–12 years in one assigned classroom.
• Create developmentally appropriate curriculum according to NAEYC standards.
• Develop programs and activities based on children’s interests and learning styles.
• Maintain a warm, safe, and clean environment that allows children to grow and explore.
• Partner with families to create plans that provide the best care and education for their children.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child.
