About The Position

East Gate Kids is seeking a Lead Teacher for its 5-Star, Reggio-inspired early learning center in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The center views children as capable, curious learners and creates classroom environments that encourage exploration, creativity, collaboration, and discovery. Teaching is intentional and grounded in observation, documentation, reflection, play, and meaningful relationships.

The role is suited to a warm, patient, playful educator with early childhood experience, initiative, and an understanding of child development. The teacher creates engaging environments, supports children's social and emotional development, and builds strong partnerships with families. East Gate Kids values collaboration, continued learning, professional development, and growth in the early childhood education profession. Experience with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, or Pre-K is valued.

Requirements

• Professional experience in early childhood classrooms is especially valued.
• A strong understanding of child development.
• Commitment to play-based, relationship-centered teaching.
• Meet applicable New Mexico childcare licensing requirements.
• Complete required background checks.
• Maintain CPR/First Aid certification.

Nice To Haves

• ECE coursework, a CDA, an associate's or bachelor's degree, or continued enrollment in an Early Childhood Education program.
• Experience with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, or Pre-K.
• Interest in collaboration, professional development, research, best practices, and new approaches to early childhood education.
