Requirements
- EDU 119, Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
- Previous experience in a licensed childcare or early learning center, especially with infants
- Knowledge of infant development, developmentally appropriate practices
- Current or ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification
- Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to meet North Carolina childcare licensing requirements for Lead Teacher qualification
- Warm, dependable, and team-oriented demeanor with a genuine love for working with young children
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and daily activities for older infants
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment that supports developmental milestones
- Monitor and document each child's growth, development, and daily progress
- Communicate regularly and effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's care and development
- Maintain a clean, organized, and developmentally appropriate classroom space
- Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and childcare health and safety standards
