About The Position

The Lead Teacher II is responsible for developing and implementing age-appropriate curriculum and lesson plans for young children. This role involves creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment that promotes the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of each child. The Lead Teacher II will also communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and engage in professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Experience working with young children in an early childhood setting.
  • Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create and implement lesson plans.
  • Patience, creativity, and a passion for working with children.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate curriculum and lesson plans.
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Promote the holistic development of each child (social, emotional, cognitive, physical).
  • Observe and assess children's progress, documenting findings.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child's development and classroom activities.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive educational program.
  • Maintain a clean and organized classroom.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
