About The Position

ForceX is seeking a systems engineer to deliver mission-focused technical solutions from concept through deployment and sustainment. The role partners across disciplines to translate requirements into executable designs that meet performance, cost, and schedule objectives. It focuses on product and mission-system engineering, including requirements, architecture, integration, verification, and lifecycle technical execution. This subject matter expert role requires comprehensive job-area knowledge and deep project management capability. The Lead, Systems Engineer – Requirements & Integration will lead engineering product development for the VAMPIRE Counter-UAS system. Work includes rapid prototype development, baseline integration, system requirements development, market trade studies, make/buy analysis, acceptance testing, system verification and validation, and product lifecycle sustainment. The role connects technical intent to executable engineering work by structuring requirements, assessing alternatives, and coordinating integration readiness across the team. It involves analysis, internal R&D (IRAD) planning, and cross-functional technical coordination within an integrated product team (IPT). The position is located in Nashville, Tennessee, and follows a 9/80 schedule: employees work 9 out of every 14 days, totaling 80 hours, with every other Friday off. The role is contingent upon program award. Travel of up to 25% is required to support integration, test, customer engagement, and program execution. Work may be performed in a classified and/or controlled environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 9 years of prior relevant experience; alternatively, a graduate degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience; or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
  • 9 or more years of experience applying systems engineering methods across full-lifecycle activities.
  • 9 or more years of experience with requirements management, risk management, and system integration and verification practices.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret security clearance.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% for integration, testing, customer engagement, and program execution.
  • Ability to support work in a classified and/or controlled environment.
