About The Position

Delta Faucet Company is seeking a Systems Integration Showering Engineer for its New Product Development and Integration team. The role leads large projects with autonomy and coordinates international teams to integrate new showering products into production. The engineer partners with multifunctional teams to deliver product launches for luxury, trade, and retail consumers and reports directly to the NPD Engineering Manager. The position leads showering product design coordination, development, and integration from concept through launch. It owns technical execution of new platforms and technologies, establishes and validates system-level requirements, and leads technical resources, risk assessment, issue resolution, and production integration tradeoffs. The role collaborates with overseas engineering and manufacturing teams, as well as Product Marketing, Architecture, Compliance, and Subsystem teams. Travel up to 10% within the United States and internationally is required.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
At least 7 years of product engineering experience specializing in showering products.
Experience in a product engineering practitioner role, with expertise in engineering tools, techniques, and standard methodologies for showering products.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with and influence business and technical partners and leaders at all organizational levels.
Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills, including the ability to simplify complex problems.
Familiarity with rapid prototyping and manufacturing processes, including injection molding, die casting, stamping, finishing, and assembly.
Ability to lead multiple concurrent assignments.
Experience with design for manufacturability, cost estimation, GD&T, Systems DFMEA, PPAP, and design verification and validation.

Responsibilities

Lead the design coordination, development, and integration of new showering products for luxury, trade, and retail consumers.
Lead components and modules through design, first article, engineering builds, pilot runs, and PPAP.
Collaborate daily with overseas Delta engineering, vendor design, and vendor manufacturing teams.
Maintain working knowledge of the competitive patent and product space for showering products.
Manage product and system requirements, specifications, and flowdown to define module or component requirements.
Lead technical team resources, requirements development, and design risk assessment using DFC design standards and specifications, APQP methodologies, and NPD launch stage-gate processes.
Establish and validate system-level product requirements using test plans, simulation, and prototyping.
Own technical execution of new platforms and technologies as a domain expert.
Lead technical issue-resolution teams and identify and implement root causes outside NPD projects.
Scope, handle, and approve technical tradeoffs to deliver production-integration requirements from concept to launch.
Design, build, and execute test plans, and present results and the impact of technical issues to diverse audiences.
Collaborate with Product Marketing, Architecture, Compliance, and Subsystem teams during new product development.
Travel up to 10% within the United States and internationally.
