About The Position

We are looking for a Lead Support Worker to join our team. This role is for individuals who want to be part of a team that truly cares about its customers and employees. You will help people with complex needs live more independently, where no two days are the same. You will be supporting young customers who are looked after children or children in need, ensuring Ofsted Supported Housing needs are met. This role offers a career path with development and an excellent training package.

Requirements

  • Passion and experience in supporting others, ideally in a supported housing setting.
  • Level 3 Diploma in Care or equivalent experience (or willingness to work towards it).
  • Experience assessing referrals and coordinating support.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative, remain calm under pressure, and have a resilient approach.
  • Passion to support young people to live their best lives, working collaboratively with an eye for detail.
  • Ability to use technology for creating and updating support plans, completing online learning, and collaborating with colleagues.
  • Must be able to have an Enhanced DBS check completed (company pays for this).

Responsibilities

  • Creating support plans with customers and coordinating a small team of Support Workers.
  • Working with young customers (looked after children or children in need) to ensure Ofsted Supported Housing needs are met.
  • Assisting customers with daily living activities such as meal preparation, shopping, budgeting, tenancy maintenance, and transition to independent accommodation.
  • Carrying out risk assessments, support planning, goal setting, and regular reviews.
  • Engaging with customers through conversations and catch-ups, and collaborating with colleagues.
