SierTeK Ltd. is seeking a Lead Supply Technician/Tool Support (Day Shift) to support an opportunity at Davis Monthan AFB. The Lead Supply Technician (Tool Support) will perform depot tool-control and supply functions while coordinating the activities of Contractor Production Support employees. The Lead will receive work requirements, assign tasks based on employee skillsets and qualifications, monitor task completion, and communicate workload and operational issues to Contractor management and Government representatives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in supply, tool control, inventory management, logistics, warehouse operations, aircraft maintenance support, or a related field.
  • Experience maintaining physical and electronic inventory records.
  • Experience using computerized inventory, asset-management, or logistics systems.
  • Ability to coordinate workload and assign tasks based on employee qualifications and operational requirements.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to tool and equipment accountability.
  • Ability to follow detailed technical procedures, safety requirements, and Government regulations.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively coordinating with a team.
  • Ability to inspect, organize, issue, receive, transport, and account for tools and tool kits.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior lead, team-lead, coordinator, or senior technician experience.
  • Experience supporting U.S. Air Force, DoD, aerospace, aviation, aircraft maintenance, depot, or military logistics operations.
  • Experience with Air Force tool-control programs.
  • Experience using FEMS and/or PAMS.
  • Experience managing TMDE or calibration programs.
  • Experience with tool-kit assembly, tool inventory, FOD prevention, and tool accountability.
  • Experience with laser etching, foam shadowing, toolbox maintenance, tool sharpening, or minor tool repair.
  • Familiarity with Air Force maintenance and tool-control publications and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day oversight and coordination of Contractor Production Support personnel.
  • Receive work requirements and delegate or assign tasks based on employee skillsets, qualifications, certifications, training, and workload.
  • Monitor assigned work to ensure personnel complete tasks accurately and within established timelines.
  • Ensure personnel are available, appropriately trained, and certified or qualified for assigned duties.
  • Identify workload, staffing, training, certification, and operational issues.
  • Coordinate work requirements and priorities among personnel to support efficient operations.
  • Serve as a point of contact for routine communication and coordination with Government supervision and management.
  • Attend required meetings.
  • Communicate relevant meeting information, workload requirements, and action items to management and personnel.
  • Support management in maintaining effective workforce coordination and contract performance.
  • Report accidents, incidents, safety concerns, property damage, and other reportable events in accordance with Contractor procedures.
  • Coordinate with the Program Manager (PM) regarding issues requiring management attention or decision-making.
  • Manage, inspect, issue, transport, receive, store, repair, and dispose of common hand tools.
  • Manage Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE).
  • Build Individual Tool Kits (ITK), Consolidated Tool Kits (CTK), Dispatchable Tool Kits (DTK), and other designated tool kits.
  • Replace worn or broken tools and maintain tools in serviceable condition.
  • Organize and inventory tools at designated locations.
  • Etch and de-etch tools as required.
  • Issue and maintain accountability for rags.
  • Rebuild and recondition toolboxes.
  • Check in and check out loaner tools for daily maintenance activities.
  • Secure tool kits awaiting reissue and separate kits designated for salvage.
  • Cut and store foam for tool shadowing and shadowing boxes.
  • Operate tool issue centers in accordance with applicable Air Force and Government requirements.
  • Maintain 100% inventory accuracy between physical counts and electronic records.
  • Maintain strict accountability and control of tools and equipment in possession.
  • Identify, inventory, and control tools.
  • Conduct required physical inventories at tool-control and satellite locations.
  • Maintain daily inventory accountability procedures and supporting documentation.
  • Generate required inventory reports from FEMS/PAMS or applicable successor systems.
  • Reconcile physical inventory counts with electronic records within required timeframes.
  • Identify and report inventory discrepancies in accordance with established procedures.
  • Ensure tool kits and toolboxes are properly inventoried before being returned to ready status.
  • Ensure TMDE remains current with required Preventive Maintenance (PM) and calibration schedules.
  • Verify due dates before issuing TMDE and upon return to the tool crib.
  • Identify overdue TMDE and coordinate turn-in and pickup with the appropriate Government Representative.
  • Maintain TMDE in accordance with applicable Air Force guidance.
  • Ensure satellite tool locations are properly staffed, stocked, and managed.
  • Build toolboxes and tool kits.
  • Build tool kits and templates in accordance with applicable tool-control requirements.
  • Complete tool kits and template revisions within established Government timelines.
  • Process tool-kit transfers within required timeframes.
  • Pick up toolboxes for turn-in.
  • Conduct complete inventories of returned toolboxes.
  • Document inventories using the applicable Tool Kit Custody Receipt Listing or required documentation.
  • Ensure toolboxes are not returned to ready status until full accountability is established.
  • Mark tools, tool kits, and toolboxes using Government-provided laser-etching equipment.
  • Apply temporary hand-scribed identification markings when laser-etching equipment is unavailable.
  • Permanently laser-etch tools when equipment becomes available and remove temporary markings.
  • Cut and install foam shadowing for tool kits.
  • Ensure shadowing is clean, properly fitted, and maintains the required depth to prevent tool displacement.
  • Conduct market research for foam materials when requested and provide competitive sourcing options to the Tool Control Manager (TCM).
  • Install replacement locks on toolboxes.
  • Maintain required key accountability for each lock.
  • Replace locks when authorized.
  • Follow applicable Lost/Found Tool Program requirements.
  • Conduct procurement research for replacement locks and provide competitive sourcing options when requested.
  • Ensure proposed replacement locks meet applicable specifications and tolerances.
  • Develop and maintain effective tool inventory and accountability procedures.
  • Support Structured On-the-Job Training (SOJT) and standardized inventory practices.
  • Generate daily inventory reports.
  • Maintain inventory reports as supporting records.
  • Provide weekly discrepancy reports documenting inventory variances, corrective actions, and trends.
  • Provide required reports.
  • Maintain required records inspection.
  • Store and manage excess, broken, unusable, and otherwise unserviceable tools pending Government-approved disposition.
  • Process applicable tool warranties.
  • De-etch serviceable tools and return them to stock when authorized.
  • Immediately report lost or missing tools in accordance with established procedures.
  • Notify the Tool Control Manager and COR within required timeframes.
  • Complete required lost/found tool documentation and investigation reports.
  • Document search efforts, personnel interviewed, findings, and recommended corrective actions.
  • Provide competitive technical estimates when requested.
  • Ensure prospective sources meet applicable technical specifications and tolerances.
  • Document research using Government-designated forms.
  • Perform sharpening and minor tool repairs when requested and authorized.
  • Issue and track cloth rags using FEMS or the applicable electronic tracking system.
  • Maintain accurate rag accountability records.
  • Monitor tool-control and rag-accountability reports.
  • Reconcile physical counts with electronic records within required timeframes.
  • Maintain daily electronic inventory logs.
