About The Position

This position is responsible to supervise and drive continuous improvement for the manufacturing crew within the value stream and deliver business results. Assigned manufacturing crew is large in size and/or complexity. In addition to a crew of production employees, this position may directly or indirectly lead a group of supervisors / departments to provide support in daily execution when the Value Stream Manager is not present. This position may directly lead a small group of supervisors along with a manufacturing crew as development in preparation for a VSM role. This position also ensures the value stream is operated in accordance with Andersen Corporation’s values, employee covenant, and strategic direction.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead A3 Plan / A3 projects for manufacturing crew, utilizing current and future state value stream maps
  • Deliver business metric results (SQDCP), utilizing tiered management system
  • Provide direct leadership to value stream team leads, production employees and potentially other supervisors
  • Provide indirect leadership to other support functions and other supervisors (matrix organization)
  • Provide coaching, feedback and development to manufacturing crew, Team Leads, and Supervisors, promoting career growth opportunities
  • Ensure the desired product quality levels are achieved through use of standard work and training to those standards, training in operation and inspection techniques, and use of tools/data
  • Promote going to gemba to solve problems, promoting hands-on approach to problem solving
  • Establish an environment conducive to high levels of inclusion, morale, associate satisfaction, and performance
