About The Position

The Lead Staffing Coordinator serves as an expert advisor on all master-scheduling tools and processes. This role requires performing complex work as an experienced and professional individual with in-depth and expert knowledge of nursing scheduling practices. The position involves leveraging the OnShift tool to ensure all centers are Average or Strong users. Recommendations will be made on new processes, tools, and services that can impact staff deployment across multiple operational areas. The Lead Staffing Coordinator will exercise independent judgment on significant matters, including making recommendations to management on approaches to achieve scheduling objectives. This role is responsible for assisting locations with the development and implementation of master schedules and serves as a training resource for front-line scheduling staff. Regular training workshops will be conducted to enhance end-users' confidence and skills with the OnShift software. The individual must possess the ability to prioritize multiple projects and have advanced knowledge of Hours Per Resident Day (HPRD) calculations. Research into staffing rules and their impact on quality and reimbursement in operating states is also required.

Requirements

  • Post secondary education or equivalent training in a health care or business related field is required.
  • Significant experience with PPD management in a LTC/Post Acute setting.
  • Experience managing HRPD calculations within a scheduling software.
  • OnShift Scheduling software experience at the mastery level.
  • Experience coaching and training others, particularly in the area of scheduling or scheduling software utilization.
  • Advanced knowledge of HPRD (hours per resident day) calculation required.

  • Researching and understanding staffing rules and staffing impacts to quality and reimbursement in states the society operates in.
