About The Position

This position leads and participates in work performed by warehouse employees, beneficiaries, and community service workers. It ensures donated items are processed through the warehouse promptly and according to established standards, and that the thrift store remains adequately stocked. The role schedules and monitors warehouse staff, ensures work complies with established standards, policies, and procedures, and monitors store inventory to identify areas that need additional stock from the warehouse. The work is performed in a normal store environment with little or no physical discomfort associated with weather changes. Duties involve heavy mobility and may include operating a vehicle. The position requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of heavy materials, supplies, and equipment weighing 50–100 pounds.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED and one year of progressively responsible warehouse work experience, including six months of experience in a lead capacity, or an equivalent combination of training and experience providing the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to meet attendance requirements.
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
Ability to operate a cash register.
Ability to perform routine mathematical computations and count change.
Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and/or pull materials, supplies, and equipment weighing 50–100 pounds.
Ability to perform duties requiring heavy mobility and operating a vehicle.

Responsibilities

Lead warehouse employees, beneficiaries, and community service workers; schedule and monitor their work.
Ensure work is performed in compliance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
Ensure donated items are processed through the warehouse in a timely manner and according to established standards.
Monitor the supply of items in the thrift store and identify areas needing additional stock from the warehouse.
Help ensure the thrift store remains adequately stocked.
