About The Position

Design, architect, and develop complex, large-scale software applications in compliance with enterprise-grade standards, security frameworks, and best practices for regulated environments. Collaborate with product managers, solution architects, UX designers, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate intricate business requirements into highly optimized technical specifications and cloud-native architectures. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, driving adoption of advanced design patterns, Infrastructure-asCode principles, and secure coding practices. Conduct rigorous code and architecture reviews to enforce compliance with performance, resiliency, and HIPAA/HITRUST security mandates. Troubleshoot and resolve mission-critical production issues across distributed systems, leveraging deep knowledge of microservices, API gateways, and event-driven architectures. Continuously evaluate emerging technologies—such as service mesh, and advanced observability frameworks—and integrate them into platform modernization initiatives. Lead planning, estimation, and execution of multi-phase development projects, ensuring zero-downtime deployments, automated compliance validation, and alignment with strategic business objectives. Position reports to the Irving, TX office and allows for partial telecommuting.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field and 3 years of experience in the position offered or a computer-related occupation.
  • Infrastructure-as-Code orchestration and enterprise-grade Azure application engineering for multi-region cloud ecosystems.
  • Terraform module composition, and secure Key Vault integration alongside virtual network segmentation, private endpoint configuration, storage account lifecycle governance, and event-driven architectures utilizing Azure Event Hubs with deterministic failover strategies.
  • Cloud security engineering in HIPAA-regulated environments, including cryptographic key rotation choreography, PHI pseudonymization/tokenization pipelines across distributed systems.
  • Continuous Integration and Delivery frameworks implementing declarative pipelines (Jenkins DSL or GitHub Actions) with multi-stage gating, policy-as-code enforcement, bluegreen/canary deployment orchestration, and automated rollback for mission-critical workloads.
  • GitHub Actions workflow authoring for containerized microservices, incorporating secrets management, compliance validation gates, and environment promotion integrated with Helmbased AKS deployments.
  • Identity and API governance across IDX and enterprise API gateways, implementing OIDC/OAuth2 token and claim models, mTLS enforcement, hierarchical rate-limiting, DLP/redaction policies, and pre-publish guardrail engines for zero-defect onboarding.
  • Distribute search and analytics engineering using OpenSearch/Elasticsearch with Index Lifecycle Management (ILM).
  • Event streaming architecture with Azure Event Hubs with schema registry integration JSON Schema, Avro, and Protobuf.
  • Service mesh security engineering using Istio for end-to-end mTLS, traffic segmentation, and zero-trust enforcement across Kubernetes clusters hosting regulated healthcare workloads.
  • Implementing Guardian-based RBAC provisioning and tenancy models, ensuring least-privilege access and auditability.
  • Drive analytics modernization by engineering ingestion pipelines and dashboards, PHI-compliant data processing, and executive reporting at multi-terabyte scale.
  • API Gateway architecture and security engineering leveraging Spring Cloud Gateway for enterprise-scale traffic orchestration, implementing OIDC/OAuth2 token and claim models, mutual TLS (mTLS) enforcement, hierarchical rate-limiting algorithms, combined with reactive programming paradigms Project Reactor.
