Lead Software Engineer

We are looking for a Technical Lead who will be responsible for leading product teams and driving technical decisions. This role involves collaborating with product management, product design, and engineering to translate business and product requirements into technical specifications. The Technical Lead will also be involved in resolving blockers, conducting code and design reviews, and contributing to the hiring process. The ideal candidate should have at least 8 years of experience in a technical role, with 2 years of experience leading a team. Proficiency in Node.js or Go is mandatory, along with experience in building highly available and performant applications.

• Initiate and drive technical decisions on a multi-functional, Agile team alongside product management, product design, and engineering
• Work closely with product to translate abstract business and product requirements into crisp technical specifications along with a delivery roadmap
• Resolve blockers and help the team stay productive
• Perform code and design reviews
• Take part in building the team and iterating on hiring processes

• 8+ years of experience in a highly technical role at a hyper-growth startup or fast-paced company and 2+ years of experience leading a team
• Production level experience with Node.js or Go mandatory
• Experience building highly available and performant applications in any major programming language (e.g. Node.js, Go, Javascript)
• In-depth knowledge and experience working with major cloud platforms (e.g. AWS)

• Good understanding of GCP, Azure (Nice to have)
• Worked in an early-stage startup environment (Nice to have)
• Good understanding of microservices (Nice to have)
