About The Position

Trideum is seeking a senior-level Software Developer in Huntsville, Alabama, to contribute to software and artificial-intelligence-enabled programs supporting test, missile defense, and space systems. The role applies software development and architecture expertise to build, deploy, and maintain tools for automation, data analysis, and operational efficiency for internal and government customers. It involves hands-on code and system design, development, testing, and the use of DevSecOps, containerization, and CI/CD practices to deliver robust, scalable, and secure software.

The developer will work with multidisciplinary teams throughout the software lifecycle, from concept and architecture through deployment and sustainment, across software and AI/ML programs. The role also includes mentoring junior- to mid-level developers and evaluating emerging technologies. Minimum travel is required for onboarding, corporate training, and other essential corporate activities. The posting states that candidates must be U.S. citizens with an active Secret security clearance and eligibility to obtain a Top Secret clearance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• At least 8 years of software development experience.
• Demonstrable skills in coding, data management, and software workflows.
• Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and software deployment infrastructure.
• Extensive experience with Python, Docker, version control, and backend APIs.
• Extensive experience with DevOps and CI/CD practices using platforms such as GitLab.
• Strong oral and written communication skills to discuss technical concepts with technical and non-technical colleagues.
• Willingness to learn, experiment with new technologies, and continuously develop skills.
• Active Secret security clearance and eligibility to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
• U.S. citizenship.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Knowledge of AI/ML research and development.
• Experience designing, building, and packaging software products for deployment using Kubernetes or other containerized solutions.

Responsibilities

• Architect, code, deploy, and maintain scalable applications and backend APIs using Python, Docker, and related technologies, integrating AI/ML capabilities for automation and decision support.
• Develop, implement, and optimize machine-learning algorithms and software components using frameworks such as LangChain and PyTorch, and vector-based search and data-management tools such as Milvus and Chroma.
• Design, build, and package software for deployment using Docker and Kubernetes to support efficient, portable, and secure execution across environments.
• Develop automated continuous integration, testing, and deployment pipelines using GitLab or equivalent platforms.
• Apply version-control, code-review, documentation, and secure-coding practices, and support compliance with cybersecurity standards and government requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and system integrators to define technical solutions and support software and AI/ML initiatives.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior- to mid-level software developers.
• Explore and evaluate emerging technologies to improve the performance, scalability, and functionality of deployed systems.
• Travel minimally for onboarding, corporate training, and other essential corporate activities.
