Lead Site Reliability Engineer
About The Position
As a Reliability Engineering Lead within Cross Enterprise Services Site Reliability Engineering, you will drive the reliability, scalability, security, and performance of mission-critical applications and platforms. This Lead Individual Contributor role requires deep technical expertise, hands-on execution, and the ability to influence engineering decisions across multiple teams. The selected candidate is expected to work on-site in the specified location(s). You will provide hands-on technical leadership across application and infrastructure design, cloud operations, production support, observability, incident management, deployment automation, capacity planning, and operational risk detection. You will partner with engineering, operations, release management, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and highly available technology solutions. Using systems engineering, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, you will lead critical incident response efforts, identify and mitigate operational risks, and develop automation that improves efficiency and system reliability. You will mentor engineers, influence technical direction, and champion modern Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and AI-driven DevOps practices across the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience administering and supporting enterprise technology environments.
- Hands-on experience supporting and troubleshooting large-scale Java and/or .NET production applications in cloud environments.
- 8+ years of experience troubleshooting and supporting .NET or .NET Core applications.
- 5+ years of experience configuring, deploying, supporting, or migrating cloud-based applications.
- Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), observability, incident management, and platform reliability.
- Experience with message-based integration and event-driven architecture.
- Demonstrated experience leveraging AI-driven DevOps practices and automation to improve operational efficiency, application reliability, and platform performance.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, including diagnosing critical production issues and implementing effective solutions.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting, Windows administration, Windows Server, and IIS.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle practices and Agile methodologies.
- Proven ability to lead technical initiatives, influence stakeholders, and drive outcomes as a senior individual contributor.
Nice To Haves
- Experience applying DevOps practices to automate application deployment, testing, monitoring, and operational support.
- Experience with observability and monitoring platforms such as Splunk, Grafana, AppDynamics, Zabbix, or Nagios.
- Knowledge of distributed systems, microservices, high-availability architectures, and messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Experience with NoSQL technologies such as MongoDB or Aerospike.
- Experience with configuration management and automation tools such as Ansible or SaltStack.
- Experience coaching and mentoring engineers and promoting engineering excellence.
- Financial services industry experience.
- Ability to participate in an on-call rotation and provide after-hours production support as needed.

- Leverage AI-enabled DevOps capabilities to enhance support processes, monitoring, and platform reliability.
- Influence architecture and engineering decisions across multiple teams.
- Mentor team members and provide technical leadership as a Lead IC without direct people-management responsibilities.
- Support mission-critical systems and ensure a resilient, secure, and scalable production environment.
- Lead critical incident response efforts and identify and mitigate operational risks.
- Partner with engineering, operations, release management, and business stakeholders.
