About The Position

In addition to the duties and responsibilities of a Site Coordinator at their assigned site, Lead Site Coordinators will provide coaching and guidance to other school sites within their peer coaching group. Other duties may be assigned by the President & CEO, Senior Vice President of Program and Operations, Senior Program Director, or Program Director.

Requirements

  • Understanding of leadership skills and strategies
  • Capacity to do both current site requirements and as well as the oversight of other sites
  • Ability to prioritize site work with duties of Lead Site Coordinator
  • Strategic thinking to support assigned Site Coordinators with problem-solving
  • Accurate, consistent, and timely data entry
  • Ability to track multiple projects at one time
  • Effective communication in both positive and challenging situations
  • Technology proficient in all office technology systems including developing spreadsheets, Microsoft Office, email and CISDM.
  • Sensitivity to and strong concern for the needs of children, youth, and their families
  • Bachelors degree in education, counseling, social work, social services, or related field
  • Minimum two years as a Site Coordinator at CISSC

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in student data or case management system highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Ensure implementation of the Communities In Schools model of integrated student services with fidelity at assigned sites, report ongoing challenges at sites to Program Directors for additional intervention.
  • Support cohort members in their needs assessment process, including suggestions on sources for and offering strategies and suggestions to complete the process.
  • Provide support to cohort staff as they implement their site plans giving guidance on best practices and quality metric choice.
  • Verify that services, both school-wide and for individual students, are being monitored and adjusted as required.
  • Monitor and support cohort as they evaluate the effectiveness of achieving school and student individualized goals.
  • Provide leadership in planning site services for the following year, as well as contributing to affiliate-level reports for partners, the affiliate office, and the Communities In Schools national office.
  • Provide coaching and guidance around accurate, timely completion of all data entry and reporting, referring staff to the data team when additional support is needed.
  • Provide guidance and instruction to ensure all CIS National Accreditation requirements are met at each assigned site.
  • Assist in on-boarding process of new staff and provide input for performance reviews.
  • Lead or co-facilitate CIS meetings and trainings as appropriate
  • Find other low-cost opportunities for professional development and training.
  • Meet individually with all staff in the cohort at least once monthly, and hold a minimum of one group cohort meeting per month.
  • Visit new cohort staff at least once at their site before mid-year.
  • Attend the statewide Lead meeting in August for new expectations and questions.
  • Follow guidelines as outlined in the Responsibility Matrix and Employee handbook.
