About The Position

Cleveland-Cliffs Tooling and Stamping has an immediate opportunity for a Contractor Safety Coordinator. The Contractor Safety Coordinator is responsible for maintaining contractor compliance in the ISN data base. Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in OHS, Communication, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in: Contractor safety management, OR ISNetworld (ISN) administration, OR EHS roles in a manufacturing/automotive environment

  • Strong understanding of: ISNetworld (ISN) contractor management system
  • Occupational health & safety regulations (Ontario OHSA/OSHA or equivalent)
  • Contractor safety management best practices

Responsibilities

  • Administer the ISNetworld platform, including contractor prequalification, monitoring, and ongoing compliance.
  • Review and verify contractor submissions (e.g., safety statistics, insurance certificates, training records, safety programs).
  • Evaluate contractor safety performance metrics such as TRIR, DART, EMR, and incident history for acceptability.
  • Approve or reject contractor compliance status based on ISN and internal company requirements.
  • Coordinate onboarding of contractors in alignment with ISN requirements.
  • Ensure contractors meet site-specific safety requirements prior to mobilization.
  • Support procurement and maintenance teams with contractor qualification decisions.
  • Ensure contractor safety programs align with corporate policies and industry standards.
  • Review and validate safety documentation including: Lockout/Tagout procedures, Confined space entry programs, Working at heights protocols, Hazard communication programs, Equipment certifications.
  • Track and ensure timely updates of contractor documentation within ISN.
  • Monitor contractor compliance with OSHA, local regulatory, and internal safety standards.
  • Track contractor safety performance, incidents, and compliance trends.
  • Generate and distribute reports from ISN dashboards and internal systems.
  • Maintain records of contractor evaluations and performance scorecards.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for contractors regarding ISN requirements.
  • Liaise with internal departments (EHS, Maintenance, Engineering, Procurement) on contractor compliance status.
  • Provide guidance and training to internal teams and contractors on ISN processes and expectations.
  • Participate in internal and external audits involving contractor safety and ISN compliance.
  • Identify gaps in contractor management processes and recommend improvements.
  • Support implementation of best practices in contractor safety management.
  • All other duties as required.
