About The Position

ELITE Parking Services is seeking a Lead Shuttle Driver to oversee daily transportation operations and provide safe, efficient, and reliable shuttle service. The role leads a team of drivers, coordinates schedules and routes, and promotes strong safety and customer-service standards. The Lead Shuttle Driver also supports passenger accessibility and helps ensure a positive experience for passengers.

Requirements

• Proven experience in paratransit services, shuttle driving, or delivery driving, with a focus on passenger safety.
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating drivers and interacting with passengers.
• Ability to conduct thorough vehicle inspections and proactively identify maintenance needs.
• Demonstrated defensive driving skills and a clean driving record.
• Knowledge of two-way radios and ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.

• Experience driving in adverse weather conditions.
• Experience supervising or leading a team of drivers in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise shuttle drivers to ensure compliance with safety protocols, traffic laws, and company policies.
• Coordinate daily shuttle schedules, routes, and driver assignments to optimize service efficiency.
• Inspect vehicles before and after shifts to verify mechanical condition and safety compliance.
• Lead driver training on defensive driving, passenger assistance, and vehicle maintenance procedures.
• Communicate with drivers using two-way radios to provide route updates and safety alerts.
• Assist passengers with special needs or mobility challenges.
• Monitor driving in adverse weather and guide drivers on safe operation in challenging conditions.
• Maintain accurate vehicle inspection records, incident reports, and shift logs.
• Address passenger inquiries professionally and courteously, fostering a customer-focused atmosphere.
