About The Position

This role contributes to Software Services Operations by collaborating with portfolio leaders and resource managers on operations analysis, planning, and execution. The goal is to ensure consistent, efficient, and effective delivery of operational services aligned with global standards to achieve business objectives. The specialist will provide guidance on compliance, people and process development, and budget/resource management. Responsibilities include resolving specification issues, handling correspondence, providing updates, ensuring customer satisfaction, and coordinating with staff. The role involves proposing solutions for complex project management processes, identifying business improvement opportunities and trends, and recommending strategies in agreement with management. Analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure adherence to targets and budget, recognizing process variations, and taking appropriate action on resource planning are key. The specialist will ensure processes accurately reflect business goals and objectives, using technical experience and analytical thinking for decision-making. This involves utilizing multiple internal and limited external sources, applying data visualizations, and acting as a resource for less experienced colleagues. The role may involve leading small, low-risk projects and providing training on systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering (any), Project Management, or related.
  • Six (6) years of experience in project management, project planning, or a combination thereof within the software industry.
  • Six (6) years of experience with Primavera P6 scheduling software.
  • Six (6) years of experience with advanced schedule performance metrics, including earned value, schedule performance index, and cost performance index.
  • Experience using Tableau and Power BI to address data analytics and data mining.
  • Experience using Excel pivot tables and Pareto data to identify relevant trends.
  • Experience with Key performance indicator analysis using L3 Bowler, Excel KPI, and Tableau defect report.
  • Experience with Lean methodology (including: fish-bone, 5-Why’s, or cause-and-effect) for problem solving.
  • Any and all experience may be gained concurrently.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure a consistent, efficient and effective delivery of operational services, in line with global standards, to support the achievement of business objectives across all areas.
  • Provide guidance to ensure compliance with standards, continuous development of people and processes, and effective management of budget and resources.
  • Resolve specification issues, handle correspondence, provide periodic updates, ensure customer satisfaction, and negotiate/coordinate with staff as appropriate.
  • Propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated project management processes.
  • Identify opportunities for business improvements and trends.
  • Recommend strategies to address these, in discussion/agreement with management.
  • Analyze key performance indicators to ensure adherence to target levels and budget.
  • Recognize variations to the processes and adjust accordingly.
  • Take appropriate action on resource planning with portfolio leaders and resources managers.
  • Ensure processes are identified and developed to accurately reflect the business goals and objectives.
  • Use technical experience and analytical thinking to proactively make or recommend decisions based on in-depth analysis.
  • Use multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.
  • Apply data visualizations to support findings.
  • Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
  • May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements.
  • Serve as a resource to colleagues, delivering training as required to support teams using these systems.
