About The Position

QSL Management is seeking a Lead Server for Washington Commons by Barclay House. The role supports a pleasant dining experience for residents and guests by providing gracious hospitality and prompt, organized service. The Lead Server may assist in the bar, coffee shop, meal preparation, and special events as requested, while helping maintain service, cleanliness, hygiene, health, and appearance standards.

Requirements

A caring heart and willingness to serve others.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
ServSafe certification if applicable to state requirements.
Food server or hospitality experience required.
Willingness to work with older adults in a senior living environment and prepare food that meets or exceeds hospitality and service standards.
Ability to work a variety of shifts, including holidays, weekends, and planned special events.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work with staff and residents.

Nice To Haves

Bar Card, if applicable to state requirements.
Knowledge of a POS system.

Responsibilities

Ensure residents and guests receive gracious hospitality and have a pleasant dining experience.
Assist in the bar and coffee shop as scheduled.
Guide guests through menus and demonstrate thorough knowledge of food and beverages.
Maintain or exceed appearance, cleanliness, hygiene, and health standards in dining areas.
Take accurate orders and work with team members to deliver food in an organized manner and provide prompt service.
Set and reset tables according to company standards.
Assist with meal preparation if requested.
Help maintain stock levels for the bar, coffee shop, and front of house.
Assist with special events and activities as requested.
