About The Position

Seeking a Lead / Senior Android Developer with 10+ years of experience in Android app development, focusing on software and integrating Bluetooth devices with mobile applications. The role involves designing and building sophisticated, highly scalable Android apps, ensuring their performance, quality, and responsiveness. Maintaining code integrity and organization is crucial. The ideal candidate will be proficient with mobile development tools, have a strong understanding of RESTful APIs and mobile libraries for networking, and experience working with Java and Kotlin. Strong software architecture experience, including design patterns like MVP, Clean/MVVM, and Dependency Injection (Dagger), is essential. The role also requires experience writing test scripts, using coroutines, and understanding Material Design guidelines. Experience designing and architecting full-stack applications, including API design and UI wireframing, is a plus. A clear, solutions-oriented communication style with a passion for code quality and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are highly valued.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Android app development
• Experience integrating Bluetooth devices with mobile applications
• Proficient with mobile development tools like Xcode and Android Studio
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and mobile libraries for networking
• Experience working with Java
• Professional experience building native Android applications
• Significant experience building applications in Kotlin
• Strong software architecture experience
• Well versed in design patterns (MVP, Clean/MVVM)
• Experience writing your own Repositories and Factories
• Understanding of the value of Dependency Injection and implementing Dagger
• Experience writing your own test scripts
• Proficiency using coroutines
• Clear and solutions oriented communication style with a passion for code quality
• Clear communicate style within a collaborative team environment
• The ability to combine good judgement, empathy, and technical skills
• BS or MS in Computer Science or Engineering

Nice To Haves

• Experience designing and architecting full stack applications, including API design and UI wireframing
• Someone who understands material design guidelines (e.g. you know how to be a good Android citizen while maintaining a strong unique brand identity)
