About The Position

The Security Technologist will lead security strategy, architecture, and implementation efforts across HP Collaboration Solutions products and services. This role will be a critical stakeholder in creating a multi-horizon strategy for Trust/Security – on of four major pillars of the Collaboration Solutions business. They will partner closely with engineering, product management, cloud operations, and compliance teams to ensure security is designed into products from concept through deployment including video, headsets, and phones. The ideal candidate combines deep technical security expertise with the ability to influence product direction and drive secure development practices at scale. This role will also collaborate with the other HP BU Security teams to align/influence a OneHP security strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, product security, security architecture, or secure software development.
  • Strong understanding of application security, cloud security, identity and access management, cryptography, and network security.
  • Experience conducting threat modeling and security risk assessments.
  • Knowledge of secure development frameworks and industry standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, and OWASP.
  • Experience working with cross-functional product and engineering teams.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience securing collaboration, conferencing, communications, or SaaS platforms.
  • Security certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, GIAC, or equivalent.
  • Experience with Azure, AWS, or other cloud platforms.
  • Knowledge of endpoint security, device management, and zero-trust architectures.
  • Experience supporting customer security reviews and compliance audits.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive security architecture for collaboration hardware, software, cloud services, and connected ecosystems.
  • Perform threat modeling, risk assessments, and security design reviews for new and existing solutions.
  • Establish security requirements and ensure alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with engineering teams to integrate secure development lifecycle (SDL) practices.
  • Lead vulnerability management, penetration testing coordination, and remediation activities.
  • Collaborate with product teams to evaluate emerging security technologies and evolving threat landscapes.
  • Support security incident response, root-cause analysis, and corrective action planning.
  • Represent security requirements in product planning, roadmap discussions, and customer engagements.
  • Develop security guidance, best practices, and technical training for engineering organizations.
