About The Position

The Lead Security Officer provides safety and security to visitors, patients, physicians, and staff; safeguards healthcare system assets; and assists in enforcing healthcare system policies and procedures. The officer takes charge of the shift and other officers when required by the supervisor, covers posts and duties as needed, provides in-service training to new and existing security officers, and reviews paperwork for completeness and accuracy.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One to three years of previous work-related experience.
• Valid driver’s license with no pending violations and an acceptable driving record, as stipulated by SJH policy and, if applicable, the SJH insurance carrier, for those required to drive a hospital vehicle.

Nice To Haves

• Military or Police experience preferred.
