About The Position

The Lead Security Guard is a leadership role that guides and directs other security guards. This position serves as a key point of contact for incidents and emergencies, coordinating responses and deploying resources for timely, effective action. The role also maintains detailed records and builds working relationships with external law enforcement and emergency services.

This is a safety-sensitive position subject to pre-employment and random drug testing. A positive test, including for marijuana, may result in a job offer being rescinded or termination of employment, even when the individual has a valid medical marijuana license.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and at least 3 years of security or law enforcement experience.
• State of Oklahoma Council of Law Enforcement, Education, and Training (CLEET) armed security guard license.
• Cherokee Nation Armed Security Officer license.
• Working knowledge of firearms, defensive tactics, and surveillance video systems.
• Ability to pass a CNE security-approved custody control and weapons training.
• Valid driver's license that can be maintained.
• Ability to obtain and maintain licensing by the appropriate gaming authority.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incidents and perform CPR and first aid as needed.
• Prevent guests from entering premises with prohibited items.
• Coordinate with other departments to provide security resources and ensure adequate coverage.
• Deploy resources to ensure timely responses to calls and required follow-ups.
• Coordinate and respond calmly and quickly in emergency situations.
• Maintain working relationships with local law enforcement, fire, and safety departments.
• Create and maintain detailed written incident reports; review and edit reports completed by other personnel.
• Assist in managing employee key access and run relevant reports.
• Ensure compliance with age requirements and policies by checking guest identification.
• Guide and direct the work of other security guards.
