About The Position

Kokosing is looking for a diligent Lead Project Scheduler to join their team. Responsibilities will include development, maintenance, and analysis of project schedules. The role of a Lead Project Scheduler is to ensure that all stages of the construction process are accurately planned and executed in a timely manner. This role can sit out of Columbus, OH, Cleveland, OH, or St. Louis, MO. If sitting out of an Ohio location, there will be an expectation to travel to St. Louis once a month. The role is a Lead Project Scheduler for project pursuits ranging in size, complexity and scope. Primary responsibility will be supporting their project management team, including self-performed and subcontractor scopes of work. Independently, or with a project team, create high-level master schedules for projects ranging in size and complexity. Possess excellent time management and organizational skills and have a background in Civil Engineering or related fields. Have a deep understanding of construction processes, effective communication skills, and the ability to solve complex problems.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or Business Administration preferred or experience in lieu of degree.
  • 8+ years of experience in Project Scheduling, preferably in heavy civil and heavy industrial construction projects.
  • Proficiency in Oracle Primavera Cloud and / or Primavera P6.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in concert with estimators, project team members, subcontractors, engineers, contracting partners and clients.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and work on multiple projects concurrently.
  • Firm understanding of construction sequencing and duration.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Background in Civil Engineering or related fields.
  • Deep understanding of construction processes.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to solve complex problems.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience performing critical path, earned value, and schedule impact analysis is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Development, maintenance, and analysis of project schedules.
  • Ensure that all stages of the construction process are accurately planned and executed in a timely manner.
  • Support project management team, including self-performed and subcontractor scopes of work.
  • Create high-level master schedules for projects ranging in size and complexity.
  • Develop schedules ranging from summary level to detailed activity / resource loaded.
  • Work with mixed levels of operations, clients, designers and trade partners to build out master schedules.
  • Provide critical schedule analysis.
  • Provide team with suggested adjustments to improve schedule outcome.
  • Ensure that the project schedules conform to the contract requirements and specifications.
  • Participate in estimating and project meetings and providing scheduling input, recommendations, and value engineering advice.
  • Prepare and present project schedules and narratives to clients and stakeholders.
  • Identify and manage potential risks and develop contingency plans to address them.
  • Performing Time Impact Analysis (TIA).
