About The Position

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes. DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a Lead, Salesforce, located in Raynham, Massachusetts. This role supports the design, development, and enhancement of Salesforce based commercial technology solutions that enable sales, marketing, and customer engagement teams across DePuy Synthes. The Lead CRM Developer works as an early career technical contributor, applying Salesforce platform knowledge to build scalable, compliant, and high-quality solutions that improve commercial effectiveness and user experience. This position offers the opportunity to grow technical depth, partner closely with business stakeholders, and contribute to digital transformation initiatives within a global MedTech organization and reports into the DePuy Synthes Technology organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 4-6 years of relevant professional experience in software engineering, application development, or enterprise systems support at a professional (P4) level.
  • Hands‑on experience with the Salesforce platform, including configuration, security model, data model, and basic automation tools.
  • Foundational knowledge of Apex, Lightning Web Components, or other Salesforce development technologies.
  • Foundational knowledge in various integration technologies such as Webmethods, SAP BTP, and forms of integrations.
  • Ability to analyze business requirements and contribute to technical solution design in a structured, detail‑oriented manner.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated accountability, learning agility, and ability to work productively under guidance in a team environment.
  • English proficiency required.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience supporting Salesforce in a commercial, sales, or customer engagement environment.
  • Exposure to system integrations, APIs, or middleware platforms in an enterprise environment.
  • Familiarity with Agile or DevOps delivery methodologies.
  • Salesforce Administrator or Platform Developer I certification.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively identify issues, suggest improvements, and continuously build technical capability.
  • Salesforce certifications preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, develop, and maintain Salesforce solutions (e.g., Sales Cloud and related capabilities) in support of commercial business processes.
  • Translate business requirements into technical designs, configurations, and declarative or programmatic solutions under guidance of senior engineers or architects.
  • Lead the application of AI, advanced analytics, and automation to modernize commercial platforms, enhancing customer engagement, pricing and revenue optimization, and data‑driven decision-making while driving scalable and compliant commercial execution across sales, marketing, and customer operations.
  • Support integrations between Salesforce and upstream/downstream enterprise systems using approved tools and patterns.
  • Develop and execute unit testing and support system, integration, and user acceptance testing to ensure solution quality and reliability.
  • Participate in release planning, deployments, and post‑deployment support following established IT and governance standards.
  • Document technical designs, configurations, and support procedures to enable maintainability and knowledge sharing.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional partners including IT, Commercial, Quality, and Compliance to ensure solutions meet business and regulatory needs.
