The Lead, Sales Execution functions as a Chief of Staff to VP of Sales, and plays a strategic role in aligning sales initiatives, optimizing operational efficiency, and driving cross-functional collaboration to support revenue grow. This role will partner with the VP of Sales to shape, socialize, and operationalize the AFH Sales strategy, priorities, and annual operating plan, effectively owning the Sales Leadership internal agenda and execution. This role works across all Sales teams: Distribution, Field, National accounts/Noncommercial, and Chains and in connection with all support functions: Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain and Operations. Reporting to the VP of Sales, this position is part of the Sales Leadership Team. This role has 5 direct reports. Aligned with Kraft Heinz values, this position will lead the following end-to-end processes for all AFH: Essential Functions & Responsibilities 1) Strategic Planning & Business Rhythm Serve as a thought partner to the VP—framing issues, structuring decisions, and providing concise options and recommendations. Build and manage the Sales business rhythm (weekly/monthly/quarterly cadences), ensuring the right forums, inputs, and decisions occur on time. Coordinate preparation for Quarterly Channel Reviews (QCR), Monthly Business Review (MBR), and key leadership reviews; drive pre-reads, agendas, decision logs, and follow-ups. Translate leadership direction into clear, sequenced initiatives with milestones, owners, and success metrics. Support adoption of new routines/tools by aligning training, documentation, and reinforcement mechanisms. 2) Executive Support, Decision Enablement, & Continuous Improvement Lead ad hoc strategic projects for the VP (e.g., transformation initiatives, org redesign, productivity programs, tool rollouts). Simplify ways of working by identifying process gaps and implement improvements to increase speed, clarity, and accountability. Benchmark best practices and implement improvements to planning, execution, and communication. Establish lightweight governance for top priorities: charters, RACI, milestones, KPI tracking, and risk/issue management. Coordinate special projects related to culture, engagement, onboarding, and leadership development as needed. 3) Cross-Functional Alignment & Stakeholder Management Act as the connective point across AFH Sales and key cross functional partners Anticipate stakeholder concerns, resolve blockers, and escalate risks with proposed mitigations. Manage internal stakeholders across executive leadership team and peer set. 4) Performance Management, Analytics, & Insights Build and maintain executive-ready performance dashboards for KPIs, including working with 3rd party vendors and internal IT teams. Provide forward-looking insights: trends, root-cause analyses, scenario considerations, and “so what” implications. Track competitive/customer dynamics and synthesize implications for the VP and leadership team. Surface risks early (customer, financial, operational, compliance, reputational) and drive structured mitigation plans. Maintain an issues log and ensure closure through clear owners, due dates, and escalation paths
