About The Position

The Lead Retail Operations is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the retail store while delivering an exceptional customer experience and maintaining high standards of operational excellence. This position serves as a key resource for the management team and associates, helping coordinate sales floor activities, inventory, merchandising, customer service, and operational processes. The Lead Retail Operations helps ensure the store is organized, efficient, properly stocked, and prepared to meet business and customer needs. This role leads by example and provides guidance and support to associates while assisting management with achieving sales and operational goals.

Requirements

• Previous retail, customer service, or related experience preferred.
• Previous leadership or key-holder experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Basic computer and point-of-sale system knowledge.
• Ability to learn and communicate product knowledge effectively.
• Ability to safely lift, carry, and move merchandise as required by the position.
• Flexibility to work a retail schedule, including weekends, holidays, and peak seasonal periods.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Support the daily operation of the retail store and help ensure a positive customer experience.
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers with product selection, questions, and concerns.
• Lead by example and demonstrate strong selling, customer service, and operational practices.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures, including securing the store and completing required operational tasks.
• Support inventory management, including receiving, processing, replenishment, transfers, cycle counts, and maintaining accurate inventory.
• Maintain organized and efficient stockroom and sales floor standards.
• Assist with merchandising, product presentation, signage, and promotional displays.
• Monitor product availability and communicate replenishment needs to management.
• Help coordinate daily priorities and delegate tasks to associates as directed by management.
• Provide guidance, training, and support to associates on store procedures, customer service, product knowledge, and operational standards.
• Assist management in monitoring sales floor coverage and ensuring associates are positioned to support customer needs.
• Help maintain company standards for cleanliness, safety, organization, and loss prevention.
• Process customer transactions accurately and follow all cash-handling and point-of-sale procedures.
• Assist with resolving customer issues and escalate concerns to management when appropriate.
• Support special events, seasonal transitions, promotions, inventory initiatives, and other store projects.
• Communicate operational issues, customer feedback, inventory concerns, and other business needs to store management.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Serve as a role model for customer service, teamwork, professionalism, and operational excellence.
• Help create a positive and productive work environment.
• Coach and provide constructive feedback to associates when appropriate.
• Assist in onboarding and training new team members.
• Encourage teamwork and effective communication among store associates.
• Help ensure associates understand and follow established store procedures.
