Lead Restoration Technician
About The Position
PALM BUILD LLC is seeking a skilled and motivated Lead Restoration Technician to lead restoration projects and guide a crew in Charlotte, NC. The role performs water mitigation and restoration, with extensive crawlspace work involving water extraction, drying, and moisture remediation. The technician sets up and monitors drying equipment, removes damaged materials, completes light demolition, takes moisture readings, and documents job progress using mobile apps or software. The position also maintains clean and organized job sites and company vehicles, communicates with homeowners and colleagues, and participates in an after-hours and weekend emergency response rotation.
Requirements
- Previous water restoration experience is required; 1+ year preferred.
- Crawlspace experience is required; 1+ year preferred.
- Familiarity with IICRC standards and procedures.
- Valid driver's license.
- Proficiency with technology and mobile apps or software.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
- Comfort working in confined spaces and challenging environments.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and professionalism.
Nice To Haves
- IICRC certifications are a plus.
- Experience in water restoration and crawlspace work (1+ year preferred for each).
Responsibilities

- Communicate professionally and efficiently with homeowners, office staff, and team members.
- Participate in an after-hours and weekend emergency response rotation.
