The Lead Referral Clerk (LRC), operating under the direction and minimal supervision of the Health Information Manager (HIM), is responsible for participating in and regulating the daily scheduling of all Referral Clerks to ensure smooth and efficient day-to-day operations. In addition to performing standard Referral Clerk (RC) duties, the LRC assists with training new staff members, promotes and enforces best practices, and sets the standard for all aspects of the job.
