Chobani•New York, NY
•$105,500 - $166,100

About The Position

Chobani is seeking a hands-on Lead Recruiter focused on executive search to identify, attract, and assess outstanding leadership talent. The role leads executive and senior-level searches from intake and strategy through assessment, selection, and hire, while advising senior leaders on business needs and talent decisions. The recruiter will map markets, proactively engage passive candidates, assess leadership capabilities and fit, build enduring talent relationships, and provide market insight and candid recommendations to executive stakeholders. The position combines strong recruiting judgment, curiosity, persistence, discretion, and relationship-building with an interest in improving recruiting through technology. The recruiter is expected to use data, external market intelligence, AI, automation, and emerging tools to improve research, talent mapping, candidate discovery, and workflows, and may build or help develop agents and other tools. Technology supports the work; exceptional recruiting judgment and creativity remain central. Chobani is a purpose-driven, people-first food and wellness company founded in 2005. Its mission is to make high-quality, nutritious food accessible to more people, elevate communities, and help make the world healthier. The company makes yogurt, oat milk, creamers, and coffee products, and acquired Daily Harvest in 2025. Chobani manufactures products in New York, Idaho, Michigan, and Australia, with products available across North America and in Australia and other select markets. This is a full-time position with a stated salary range of $105,500 to $166,100, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 10–15 years of recruiting experience, with a track record of closing VP- and SVP-level searches, in-house or at a retained search firm.
  • Demonstrated hands-on use of AI for sourcing and research, such as building agents, automated workflows, or advanced prompting, with concrete examples of results, and genuine curiosity about new tools.
  • Expertise in executive-level talent mapping, market intelligence, and passive-candidate sourcing.
  • Ability to interview and assess senior leaders, distinguish an impressive résumé from an exceptional leader, and present recommendations confidently to C-suite and executive audiences.
  • Ability to operate independently and manage a portfolio of confidential, high-stakes searches.
  • Exceptional discretion, executive presence, and written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to synthesize candidate and market information into clear recommendations.
  • Track record of personally finding and recruiting exceptional talent for complex or difficult-to-fill leadership roles, using proactive research, networking, direct outreach, and creative strategies across industries and nontraditional backgrounds rather than relying on inbound candidates or existing databases.

  • Intellectual curiosity and ability to develop a deep understanding of businesses, functions, industries, and talent markets.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple complex searches with urgency, discipline, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and no established playbook.
  • Collaborative mindset, initiative, and persistence to drive searches forward.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in both an in-house executive search environment and a retained executive search firm.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior leaders to understand business needs and translate them into thoughtful search strategies.
  • Identify, source, and engage exceptional talent, including executives who are not actively considering a move.
  • Build market maps and talent pipelines across industries, functions, and geographies, including beyond traditional talent pools.
  • Develop and share market perspectives to help leaders consider a range of backgrounds and capabilities for a role.
  • Assess candidates’ experience, leadership qualities, capabilities, and potential fit for the company.
  • Build trusted candidate relationships and represent the company and its opportunities authentically.
  • Advise senior leaders on talent, bringing market insight, judgment, and candor to hiring decisions.
  • Manage searches with rigor and pace, including strategy, market intelligence, candidate assessments, pipeline reporting, stakeholder communication, and timely feedback.
  • Build relationships with exceptional talent and develop pipelines ahead of immediate hiring needs.
  • Use data, technology, and external market intelligence to improve talent identification and assessment.
  • Experiment with AI and recruiting technology for research, talent mapping, candidate discovery, and workflow automation.
