About The Position

Mochi Health is seeking a Lead Recruiter to build and manage their recruiting function. This role involves leading a team of recruiters, personally handling high-stakes executive searches, and establishing the strategy and standards for hiring across engineering, product, clinical, and operations. The Lead Recruiter will be responsible for enhancing pipelines, refining interview processes, improving offer acceptance rates, and ensuring a positive candidate experience. This is a builder role focused on creating a world-class hiring engine and partnering with the executive team on workforce planning and key metrics to support Mochi's rapid growth.

Requirements

  • 8-10+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience with deep technical recruiting expertise (software engineering, product, data)
  • 2+ years managing recruiters, with a track record of developing people and raising team-wide performance
  • Demonstrated ability to personally close executive and senior leadership roles
  • Experience building or substantially improving a recruiting function in a high-growth environment
  • Expertise in behavioral interviewing, structured assessments, and interview processes that produce consistent signal
  • Strong executive presence and stakeholder management with founders, C-suite, and senior hiring managers
  • Fluency with Greenhouse, Lever, or similar ATS, and comfort with recruiting analytics, funnel metrics, and workforce planning
  • High judgment, high agency, and the ability to operate with minimal oversight

Nice To Haves

  • Experience recruiting in healthcare, telehealth, or digital health, including clinical or physician leadership hiring
  • Deep knowledge of the San Francisco Bay Area talent market
  • Experience standing up a recruiting function from scratch or scaling one through a critical growth phase
  • Programming or scripting fluency (helpful for screening engineering candidates and building recruiting tooling)

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of senior and associate recruiters and coordinators, setting goals, coaching on craft, and holding the bar on quality and velocity
  • Personally own end-to-end hiring for executive and leadership searches across engineering, product, clinical, and operations
  • Partner with the executive team on workforce planning, headcount strategy, and prioritization across functions
  • Design and continuously improve our hiring processes: interview loops, scorecards, competency frameworks, and decision-making rubrics
  • Establish recruiting operations rigor: ATS hygiene, funnel metrics, pipeline health reporting, and tooling decisions
  • Build proactive sourcing pipelines for the roles that will define Mochi's next phase of growth
  • Lead offer strategy and closing for senior and executive candidates, with a team-wide target of 80%+ offer acceptance
  • Be the executive partner hiring managers trust when a search is stuck, a candidate is wavering, or a new function needs to be built from zero
  • Shape Mochi's employer brand and candidate experience across every touchpoint
