About The Position

This role is for a hands-on quality professional who thrives in a fast-paced, production environment. The Lead Quality Control Technician will be the go-to leader on the production floor, spending 85% of their time in action, supporting their team, ensuring quality standards are met, and driving operational excellence.

Requirements

  • At least one (1) year of related quality control experience working in a fast-paced work environment
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Understanding of and ability to apply statistical process control (SPC), analytic skills, root cause analysis, repeat and reliability methodologies.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, including the ability to create reports, documents, and spreadsheets in MS Word and MS Excel
  • Demonstration of minimum proficiency with the English language in order to ensure effective new hire training and on-going communications about safety and quality issues

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using Quality Management System, SAP
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree
  • Prior training experience
  • Previous experience in a Lead role

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with the Department Supervisor to support personnel, equipment, and shift operations for maximum efficiency
  • Monitor and achieve KPIs across safety, quality, production, efficiency, and service
  • Ensure all products meet company standards, regulatory requirements, and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
  • Perform routine inspections of semi-finished and finished products, identifying defects and ensuring specifications are met
  • Track trends, conduct root cause analysis, apply SPC methods, and recommend process improvements
  • Document test results, prepare reports, and clearly communicate quality issues and solutions across teams and shifts
  • Audit the production floor, verify adherence to procedures, correct issues, and escalate when needed
  • Help coordinate schedules and resources to ensure production goals are met seamlessly
  • Work with multiple departments to solve problems and improve communication flow
  • Assist with third-party audits and maintain accurate documentation
  • Actively contribute to Operational Excellence and continuous improvement efforts
