About The Position
The Lead Pulmonary Laboratory Technician is responsible for the operation, upgrade, maintenance and education for the Pulmonary Blood Gas Laboratory functions. In addition, the position requires providing clinical education to the staff and the development, maintenance and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Graduated from a formal respiratory care program.
- Experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of blood gas machines.
- Ability to perform and teach others how to perform Arterial blood drawing and analysis.
- Basic knowledge of quality control and maintenance procedures for blood gas machines.
- Licensed by the State of California as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS/CPR card.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelors degree in Respiratory Therapy or related science.
