About the Role: As a Lead Program Counselor (DSP), you’ll play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental and physical disabilities in a residential group home setting by supporting the hiring manager and acting as a role model for your fellow staff. You’ll help people live safe, fulfilling lives while building trusting relationships that encourage independence and personal choice.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Connecticut Driver’s License
- Ability to obtain DDS Medication Certification, CPR, and First Aid
- 1-year of residential experience

Responsibilities
- Assisting with daily living skills such as personal care, meals, and routines
- Supporting medical needs and appointments
- Following individualized support and behavior plans
- Encouraging community involvement and social engagement
- Completing routine overnight safety checks (for overnight staff)
