About The Position

YouGov's Data Products team sits at the intersection of product innovation, data science, and commercial strategy, transforming behavioural signals such as streaming, browsing, social media, and conversational AI data into products that help brands better understand consumer behaviour. Working across YouGov's global business, the team partners with engineering, research, data science, and commercial stakeholders to bring innovative data products to market. We are a high-impact team that operates across YouGov's global network, partnering closely with engineering, data science, research and commercial teams to bring new data products to market at scale. As Lead Product Manager - Behavioural , you will own and evolve YouGov's behavioural data portfolio. Reporting to our VP of Data Strategy and working closely with our Chief Product Officer ( both also based in the US ,) you will be responsible for product strategy, roadmap execution, data partnerships, product performance, and commercial success. You will identify opportunities to improve data quality, enhance product capabilities, and create greater value for customers while ensuring products remain scalable, competitive, and aligned to business priorities.

Requirements

  • Strong product management experience within data, analytics, SaaS, or technology-led environments.
  • Understanding of behavioural, digital, or consumer data products and their commercial applications.
  • Experience working with engineering and data science teams to deliver scalable product solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using product, customer, and commercial data to support decision-making.
  • Knowledge of data privacy and governance considerations relevant to data products.
  • 7-10+ years' experience in product management, including several years operating at a senior or lead level within data products, analytics platforms, or technology businesses.
  • Proven track record of delivering product roadmaps from concept through launch and ongoing optimisation.
  • Experience working with global, cross-functional teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Degree-level education in Social Science, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience within market research, consumer insights, media measurement, adtech, or related sectors is advantageous.
  • Experience in behavioural data, market research, consumer insights, media measurement, adtech, or related data environments is advantageous.
  • An MBA or advanced technical qualification is advantageous.
  • Recognised internally as a subject matter expert in their field, with a track record of providing thought leadership that has shaped product direction.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full product lifecycle, from discovery and validation through to launch, optimisation, and retirement.
  • Identify and evaluate new behavioural data partnerships and opportunities.
  • Define product requirements, success metrics, and go-to-market plans for new product initiatives.
  • Monitor product performance and KPIs, using customer, product, and commercial data to drive prioritisation and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with commercial teams to ensure effective packaging, positioning, and adoption.
  • Develop and maintain the product roadmap, translating strategic priorities into clear deliverables and measurable outcomes.
  • Build business cases and recommendations to support investment and prioritisation decisions.
  • Identify emerging behavioural data sources, market trends, and customer needs to inform future product development.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for YouGov's behavioural data products.
  • Build strong relationships across product, engineering, data science, research, marketing, and commercial teams.
  • Lead cross-functional delivery, balancing customer needs, business priorities, and technical constraints.
  • Communicate product strategy, priorities, risks, and trade-offs to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Partner with senior leadership to shape the future direction of the behavioural data portfolio.
  • Gather and synthesise customer, market, and competitive insights to identify product opportunities and improvements.
  • Maintain awareness of developments in behavioural data, market research, consumer insights, privacy regulations, and emerging technologies.
  • Ensure customer needs remain central to product decisions and roadmap priorities.
