About The Position
As a Lead Product Designer on Salesforce’s Design Systems team, you will help evolve an AI-first design system across Salesforce products. You will collaborate with product managers, engineers, designers, writers, and UX researchers to create consistent, usable, accessible, and delightful experiences across Salesforce applications. The role combines design-system leadership, visual and interaction design, AI-related design work, and design engineering. It also includes mentoring designers and advocating for inclusive design.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 7 years of experience as a Product Designer, focused on design systems and UX/UI design.
- Knowledge of leveraging and training AI to create quality experiences.
- Comfort working in both code and Figma, with capabilities as a design engineer as well as a designer.
- Expert visual design skills and close attention to design details.
- Portfolio demonstrating a strong foundation in design systems, visual design, interaction design, and AI patterns or capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead the creation and maintenance of Salesforce’s next-generation design system, tools, and AI products that scale across the company.
- Contribute design-system knowledge that is readable by both people and machines.
- Define and document design guidelines, best practices, and standards to support cohesive experiences.
- Evolve the visual language and usability of Salesforce UI/UX.
- Work with product managers, designers, writers, and engineers to integrate the design system into product development workflows.
- Partner with UX researchers to validate design decisions through user testing and feedback loops.
- Mentor and coach junior designers, fostering design excellence and collaboration.
- Advocate for accessibility and inclusivity in the design system.
- Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and design-system best practices.
