About The Position

The Lead Product Analyst, CDS Adoption & Engagement, helps product teams understand how clinicians and care teams engage with UpToDate clinical decision support products. The role focuses on adoption, engagement, funnel behavior, and usage patterns across CDS products, turning product data into insights, decisions, and measurable improvements. It involves directly querying product usage data, investigating patterns, and translating analysis into practical recommendations—not merely producing reports. The analyst partners with Product, Engineering, Design, Analytics, Commercial, and customer-facing teams. The work supports product and roadmap decisions, user experience improvements, content needs, commercialization, adoption strategies, launches, pilots, MVPs, and experiments. Success means teams have trusted metrics and a clearer understanding of how product interactions and workflows drive user action, satisfaction, repeat engagement, and value.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in product analytics, data analytics, business analytics, product operations, or a related role.
  • Ability to independently write queries using SQL or comparable data-querying tools.
  • Experience analyzing adoption, engagement, funnel metrics, click behavior, cohorts, segments, and usage patterns, and generating insights that contribute to product development strategy.
  • Comfort working with event-level product telemetry, data models, and imperfect instrumentation.
  • Ability to turn ambiguous product questions into structured analyses and actionable insights.
  • Experience building dashboards, recurring reports, or self-serve product analytics views.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain data clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Design, Analytics, Commercial, or Customer Success teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with healthcare, clinical workflow, enterprise SaaS, AI-enabled products, search, content products, or decision-support tools.
  • Familiarity with experimentation, A/B testing, product telemetry, event instrumentation, or customer journey analytics.
  • Experience with modern data platforms and business intelligence tools.
  • Experience analyzing qualitative and quantitative feedback together.

  • Define and maintain adoption, engagement, funnel, and usage metrics for CDS products.

  • Partner with Product Managers to define success metrics for launches, pilots, MVPs, and experiments.
  • Identify insights that inform roadmap priorities, UX improvements, content needs, commercialization, and adoption strategies.
