About The Position

The Lead Printer is responsible for setting up, operating, and overseeing semi-automatic press operations while ensuring exceptional print quality, productivity, and efficiency. This role provides leadership and direction to press operators, supports training and development, and helps maintain a safe, organized, and high-performing production environment. The ideal candidate is a hands-on printing professional with strong leadership skills, excellent color judgment, and a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
3-5 years of printing or related production experience.
Experience setting up and operating printing equipment in a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of print quality standards, color matching, registration, and job specifications.
Ability to read and interpret job tickets and production instructions.
Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate team members.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Basic math skills.
Basic Microsoft Office proficiency.

Nice To Haves

5-7+ years of printing industry experience.
Previous leadership, lead operator, or supervisory experience.
Experience in screen printing, digital printing, or large-format printing environments.
Strong knowledge of production workflows, quality control processes, and equipment setup optimization.
Experience training and onboarding production team members.
