Lead Principal Platform Software Engineer

Oracle•Santa Clara, CA
•$96,800 - $306,400

About The Position

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is expanding its cloud offerings across public, dedicated, hybrid, multi-cloud, and edge computing. Within OCI Core Infrastructure, this role provides technical leadership for the design, architecture, and delivery of next-generation cloud services and platforms at global scale. The engineer will help build foundational frameworks, container runtimes, distributed systems, persistent storage, networking solutions, data-plane components, and developer tools. The role focuses on complex system and data-plane architectures for one of two new OCI services. One described service is a fully managed, serverless NoSQL key-value store intended for high-volume, real-time workloads, with predictable single-digit millisecond read and write latency and automated infrastructure management, capacity provisioning, security, and backups. The posting also references a journaling service, but provides no further description of it. The successful candidate will be a recognized technical expert who can lead at-scale cloud engineering, set standards, collaborate across geographically distributed teams, and mentor engineers. The position offers opportunities to influence OCI priorities and work with engineering teams in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
