About The Position

BrightPath Kids is hiring a full-time Lead Preschool Teacher at its Budd Lake, New Jersey center. As part of BrightPath Kids and the Busy Bees global childcare community, the teacher works alongside teachers and families to provide children with a home-away-from-home experience according to NAEYC guidelines. The role focuses on the safety, supervision, care, and education of children in an assigned classroom.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, Head Teacher certification, or 15 credits in Early Childhood Education courses.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized.
• Ability to work within regular operating hours.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Nice To Haves

• Two or more years of experience in a licensed child care facility is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks to 12 years in one assigned classroom.
• Create developmentally appropriate curriculum according to NAEYC standards.
• Develop programs and activities based on children’s interests and learning styles.
• Maintain a warm, safe, and clean environment where children can grow and explore.
• Partner with families to create plans that provide the best care and education for their children.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child.
