About The Position
This is a full-time position for a Lead in the Shipping department on the 1st Shift (C Crew). The role involves assisting the Supervisor with daily operations, ensuring compliance with various standards, monitoring production, making staffing decisions, and filling in for absent personnel. The position also requires performing wash downs and serving as a backup to the Supervisor.
Requirements
- Must have at least six (6) months of Lead experience with a single employer within the last 12 months.
- Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Assist Supervisor with department set-up and daily operations.
- Ensure compliance with USDA, production, and HACCP requirements.
- Monitor shoulder cuts, deboning mechanical issues, and meat supply.
- Make staffing decisions based on product flow, mix, and attendance.
- Relieve line personnel as needed and fill in for absenteeism.
- Perform wash down during breaks and maintain general housekeeping.
- Serve as Supervisor backup during their absence.
