About The Position

Edelman is seeking a Master Plumber to lead complex residential plumbing installations. This role involves mentoring junior installers, managing job sites efficiently, and ensuring all work is completed on budget, to code, and to a high standard. The ideal candidate will take full ownership of installations, solve problems proactively, and provide an excellent customer experience.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of residential plumbing install experience.
• Valid Illinois Plumbing License (Illinois Licensed Plumber credential per IDPH) required.
• Must pass a background check and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Valid driver's license, insurable through our company carrier.
• Must supply own tools to perform Install Level 5 work.
• Comfortable lifting up to 300 lbs, working in tight spaces like attics and crawl spaces, and working in the field through heat, cold, and everything in between.
• A leader who can run a job unsupervised, train others, and represent Edelman as the professional in the home.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of complex residential plumbing installs, including kitchen and bath remodels, fixture and system installs, from start to finish.
• Supervise and train assistants and junior installers on the jobsite, keeping the project on budget and on schedule.
• Propose solutions to the Plumbing Manager when issues arise.
• Properly install and connect all waste, vent, gas, and water piping per Illinois Plumbing Code.
• Communicate clearly with homeowners, protect their homes during the job, and leave the site cleaner than found.
• Handle checklists, paperwork, material orders, and inventory accurately.
